Hi

Hi I'm thinking about buying a new laptop. I have some questions since
it was a long time ago since I looked at this.

My main concerns:
- 100% linux compatible or at least 90%. If possible with no strange
hack. I would love to install linux and have 90-100% support out of
the box.
- amd64 if posible. I will probably install i386 on top since I
already have an amd64 machine and I need good multimedia support for
non-free formats and until multiarch gets done... well, you get it.
Once multiarch is done I would switch.
- I would like a nice accelerated graphics card. Intel seems to be the
only nice guy here, but making a amd64 choice I don't know it is
possible to have such hardware alltogether. I've been used to ati
cards and I know lastest chips aren't supported in linux, so any ideas
on how does nvidia play here?
- Battery: More than 3hours would be great. If possible, no DSDT hack.
- LAN: Please no ndiswrapper hack.

I live in spain, so I don't know if I may have access to every model
on earth (probably not).

Anything else I should look at? Modem, and other hardware that is
known to work with certain manufactures?

I've also looked in google but the typical laptop websites talk about
older ones, not new ones... so I don't know where to look for this
kind of information.

Thanxs
Javier
