The feature has not yet been present in Breezy at all.
The but was not in gnome upstream; they currently use direct hal
method calls. According to their changelogs, Debian didn't adopt our
patch, so Ubuntu was the only affected distro.

It's fixed for all drives which emit a signal for the eject button.
Very old drives might not do that, but it's the best we can offer so
far for Dapper. There is a bug open to achieve this effect for all
drives [1], and it seems to work reasonably well, too, but for that
hal needs to grow some post-eject cleanup (lazy unmount etc.), which
is not appropriate for dapper.
