Shortage of IT people ?

Yeah, sorry. My English vocabulary is quite poor I must admit, so I don't always possess the appropriate terms that would be required to fine tune my wording as much as you would like/need to ;-)

That's why I prefer to not to use my anonymous "gmail.com" e-mail on international mailing list like the Ubuntu ones, and prefer to use my ".fr" e-mail from my local/French ISP, hoping people would spot it and be forgiving and rephrase/interpret my posts where appropriate... ;-)

Anyway, if I understand all the responses to my question, it seems the problem is indeed that there is a shortage of qualified people ! :o(
Hopefully the popularity of Ubuntu, bright future, and the strong philosophical/ethic of the project, might set Ubutu apart from other distro or employers/company, and convince the good candidates to eventually work for Ubuntu instead ! :o)
