An impoortant distinction between the variants is that it's only the
official Ubuntu GNOME version that is supported by Canonical, and that
Canonical pays people money to get working smoothly - all the others
are community efforts. Calling them all "Ubuntu" would incorrectly
raise expectations of officially supported fit-and-finish.
