Probably not.  For many of us, it's purely the annoyance.

I stay away from sites "riddled" with ads.  I still find it hugely useful.

Hard to imagine they have anything to beat Firebug.  Of course, ABP and 
Firebug are the only plugins I use.

heretic!  The only thing wrong with Firefox is that it doesn't look like a 
KDE app.
