Me? I'm not advocating anything. I am merely reporting.

I am not a fan of it myself, although I try not to rant about it.
But DRM is not the same as copy protection. I'm not necessarily saying
protection is a good thing, but I am saying that piracy adversely
affects small specialised software businesses.

It's a reach. I suspect it's good for relatively inexpensive
mass-market stuff, for example music or best-selling software, and
quite bad for stuff targeted at small markets, which tends to be
expensive.
