The Storm team is proud to announce Storm 0.19!
Storm is an object relational mapper (ORM) for Python. It features a clean
and lightweight API offering a short learning curve and long-term
maintainability. It works with relational databases such as SQLite,
PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Storm is free software, with many contributors,
sponsored by Canonical, and used in many projects such as Launchpad and
Landscape.
The new release includes a number of new features:
* A new Cast expressions compiles an input and the type to cast it to
into a call the CAST function.
* The storm.zope.testing.ZStormResourceManager now supports applying database
schemas using a custom URI.
* A new storm.twisted.transact module has been added with facilities to
integrate Storm with twisted.
* ResultSet.config's "distinct" argument now also accepts a tuple of columns.
* Provide wrapped cursor objects in the Django integration layer.
* A new JSON property is available.
* Cache the compilation of columns and tables.
* Add two new tracers.
* New ROW constructor.
* Add support for Postgres DISTINCT ON queries.
This release includes official packages for all supported releases of Ubuntu.
