Unfortunately, I haven't yet been able to get in contact with the Debian maintainer, and due to some important 
bugfixes, I really would like to get this into Ubuntu, so I can't block on Debian any longer.

An UVF exception has been granted, see Bug 137967. The package can be
found at the below URL:
