Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: speech-dispatcher
The speech daemon's PAUSE doesn't work as described in the Speech
Synthesis Interface Protocol documentation.
Quote:
PAUSE { id | all | self }
Stop audio output immediately, but do not discard anything. All the
currently speaking and currently or later queued messages are postponed
and saved for later processing, until a corresponding RESUME command is
received.
The meaning of the command arguments is the same as in the STOP
command
Instead of immediately stooping all output the current job is finished and the queue is blocked until a RESUME is sent. Yet the correct numeric reply code is being sent. I'll write a test case if this will help
Running version: 0.6.8~unofficial~rc2-0ubuntu3 and this could have been introduced in the previous revision
** Affects: speech-dispatcher (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
