Could you please test whether the problem also occurs with the newer version of Onboard in our stable PPA?

However, take care using Onboard 0.97.1 on oneiric: With window
decoration enabled, the keyboard window is lost for good when it's
minimized by title bar button. GTK3 doesn't report iconifying there.
