The lock screen issue is new for me too. I just realized earlier today
that there is no screen keyboard. Gnome-screen-saver used to be
responsible for screen locking, but apparently this changed at some
point after Trusty's feature freeze. I don't know what plans there are
for Onboard integration, we haven't been notified. I don't know what
package is responsible yet either, it might be unity itself.
