Wow, ok...10 years ago...

I have this same bug now as well.
LMDE 5 with Cinnamon 5.6.7, XOrg, Slick Greeter and LightDM.

When I press "Enter" after I put in my password ever so often it repeats
indefinitely. I made it a habit of opening the terminal immediately
after login to see if it happened again because at one point I ended up
with hundreds of new unnamed folders in Nemo before I could stop it.
