samba

Ok, I was able to inter a password in samba and am now able to log on to my ubuntu system.
However, the only folder I see is the add printer.
I had shared folders in gnome using the share folder choice,
but they don't seem to be there when I log on from a windows computer.
Has anyone worked with this at all.
I will be gone for two days,
but will try any suggestions when I get back.
