is the installer broken

Hi, I downloaded the latest live CD of feisty.
The installer doesn't work at all from the desktop.
I had a sighted person look and they said it appears to not start.
I downloaded one of these discs a few days ago and had another problem.
The installer worked up to the point of picking a keyboard.
After that everything on the screen got very large and it crashed.
Has anyone else experienced problems with the installer over the past few days.
Now for some good news, I notice I can now see all partitions on my computer using the live CD.
It also looks like all settings have been put in to a control center.
