A problem and a question about the braille terminal

Hello,

I need the accessibility features of Ubuntu 8.04.1 (AMD64).
The Orca speech works well after loading. But, when i chooice the
Braille Terminal my braille display will not detected (?). I use a PAC
Mate 40 from Freedom Scientific via USB.
Anyone can help me?
