Hi, on my laptop if I use ctrl alt backspace to kill gnome and then login again I get no sound. I thought this was because of a update, but when I updated my other computer this evening everything works fine if I use ctrl alt backspace to kill gnome. Any ideas what could be causing this problem on the laptop. It apparently starts to log in because I do get the first sound. But nothing happens past that point. Restarting the computer does restore speech. The laptop is at my sisters house so I will not see it again until monday. But unless something got updated this afternoon to fix this problem I must have another issue.
