Hi,
I updated my lucid installation the past week, but apparently some
packages don't work correctly and I lost many support for my hardware like
video card. unfortunately one of this is my network card and now I can't
update lucid to fix it (fortunately sound system works). I'm downloading the
daily alternate cd to try to update from it, but nothing happens, and it is
really a bad situation (cdimage.ubuntu sometimes work slow and its require
one day to download and when I try the problem continues).
Now, I installed other pc to one friend with lucid and this works
correctly (well, it have the problem with sound...) so, any suggestions for
my pc? if I need to reinstall how can I choose for the blindnes profile?
usually I use f2 and 2 to choose spanish, and f5 3 to choose the profile,
but I understand this was changed.
It is my procedure to update from cd.
sudo apt-cdrom add
sudo aptitude full-upgrade.
Regards,
mk.
