With this day morning, I maked a test patch with changing in casper
source package the ubiquity-hooks/30accessibility script with Bill
suggested GDM settings.
I changed entire the GDM accessible login configuration mehanishm, now
after the change, the script configuring all important GDM accessible
login settings with system vide settings during the installation in
target system.
I do my testing purpose a modifyed live CD, and install the patched
ubiquity-casper package.
I see following results when installation is happened:
In next restart, GDM is of course talking fine, my changed settings is
correct setted with target system. This is not surprise me, every time
happening this with old mehanishm.
After this, I do a full apt-get dist-upgrade command, because now we
known this day morning have GDM upgrade, this is absolute ideal
situation for this change testing.
After the dist-upgrade process is finished, I restart my system. Now
following the surprise, but very good result: GDMAccessible login
feature absolute correct working fine my machine, Orca is wonderful
talking, independent with GDM upgrade.
Thank you Bill the yesterday suggestion.
I opened a bugreport with this need change modification, and attached my
patch. The link is following:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/551515
I very hope Ubuntu Core developers apply this patch.
Please anybody give this bugreport and my Ubiquity related sent
bugreport with a confirmed status.
When I morning working this patch, I have got an ydea, but now I not
implementing this before I ask your openions:
What your openion, need copy the actual live user .orca folder with
target system /var/lib/gdm folder if blindness profile is selected? The
advantage of this change is following:
For example, if the user do any Orca setting change before the
installation (changing keybindings, keyboard layout, speech rate etc),
now the .orca folder is moved the new created user home folder with
target system. Possible need do this operation with var/lib/gdm folder,
because equals settings need apply with first user and GDM login screen
if this change is implemented. If we not do this, in GDM, Orca is using
desktop keyboard layout for example a laptop PC I think, using slowest
speech rate, etc. For example, now my first step after installation is
copy my home directory .orca folder with /var/lib/gdm folder with
following command:
sudo cp -r .orca /var/lib/gdm
