{Spam?} trouble with 14.04

Can anyone tell me how to use the lenses? I upgraded my 13.10 install to 
14.04. On my 14.04 install, the content of the lenses doesn't read at 
all. Thinking that I had bad settings left over from 13.10, I tried 
running 14.04 in virtualbox to see if I could figure out the problem. I 
get the same result in virtualbox, on a live 32bit system. Also, the 
installer has a weird issue where Orca locks up after the second screen. 
Until I can get this fixed, I'm sticking with Gnome-shell.
