Hi,

I plan to install MATE on 14.04 as it seems to work fine. But:
1. How can I remove Unity? If I need to hold it, is it sure it only uses disk space and not other resources while not enabled?
2. How can I make the system slighter? Are there tools I can remove if I don't use Unity?
