No sé en qué habrás quedado, pero se me ocurre que tal vez puedas
probar con el vlc, que también tiene forma de grabar por consola. El
comando lo saqué de acá[0] y lo que tendrías que hacer es modificar en
la parte final el destino (ahora en /tmp/test.mpg) para que te quede
en tu home. Lo probé y funcionó, aunque también me funcionó el de
mencoder. También fijate: 1) que está para que use v4l pero se puede
cambiar a v4l2 (con buscar y reemplazar en cualquier editor de texto y
fue lo que hice para que andara) y 2) incluye grabación de audio, eso
me tiró un error porque no encontraba el dispositivo, en todo caso hay
que ver qué partes del comando borrar, pero no molestan.
