[ubuntu-ar] No levanta audio onboard Realtek en placa Intel G31TM-P21

¿Puede ser un problema de permisos? Por intente un ls como root en el 
directorio y me dio permiso denegado.
y sobre mi home

root en matubuntu:/home/matu# ls -la |grep .gv
ls: no se puede acceder a .gvfs: Permiso denegado
d?????????   ? ?    ?          ?                ? .gvfs

También estoy cayendo en la cuenta de que los efectos de escritorio 
tampoco están activados y no puedo activarlos nuevamente.*

¿como reestablezco los permisos cuando no tengo permisos para hacerlo?
