[ubuntu-ar] Video S3 UniChrome Pro en ubuntu 10.04

Estimados, tengo una Mother Asus con una placa onboard S3 UniChrome Pro
(salida lspci | grep VGA)

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
K8M800/K8N800/K8N800A [S3 UniChrome Pro] (rev 01)

la cual configure en e xorg.conf de la siguiente manera:

según encontré en Google. La resolución va todo ok, es mas tengo activado
compositing_manager y va muy bien cosa q en 9.10 no funcionaba muy bien...
el problema surge cuando quiero ver una película en Totem q la pantalla se
ve negra, salvo a veces cuando despliego algún menú u otras veces cuando
esta en pantalla completa, con compositing_manager activado o desactivado...
si elimino xorg.conf y/o configuro con "vesa" las películas o video se ven
pero con cortes, es por eso q los molesto para ver si alguien sabe, pudo o
tiene info de como configurar bien esa placa... la vdd q los efectos no me
importan, si me interesa el mejor rendimiento q se le pueda dar a la placa.

PD: a modo de anécdota... cuando tenia 9.10 tenia un xorg.conf q funcionaba
perfecto pero de bo...lu...do... cuando instale de 0 me olvide de hacer una
copia.
