[ubuntu-ar] Problema con eCryptfs

Querida gente

Hace algún tiempo que empecé a tener problemas en mi partición /home cifrada.
Al parecer hay mucha gente con el mismo inconveniente: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ecryptfs-utils/+bug/372014?comments=all

Todo empezó con mensajes de este tipo:
[ 3641.494153] Valid eCryptfs headers not found in file header region or xattr region
[ 3641.494157] Either the lower file is not in a valid eCryptfs format, 
or the key could not be retrieved. Plaintext passthrough mode is not 
enabled; returning -EIO

Dicho esto, y dado que sí o sí quiero usar cifrado en mi laptop, la pregunta es:
¿Alguien probó de instalar Ubuntu desde el "alternate CD", creando un LVM cifrado?
¿Experiencias? ¡Escucho ofertas!
Sé que esto es mejor porque se cifra /root, la swap (excepto /boot por obvias razones).
