[ubuntu-ar] Por que no me carga solo el modulo para la red ethernet?

desde que actualice de 9.04 a 9.10 no me carga solo el modulo b44 que
necesita para la placa de red (Dell Vostro 1500)

aca les paso lo que tengo que hacer cada vez que quiero conectarme a la red
cableada

->sudo modprobe b44
-> sudo ifdown eth0
->sudo ifup eth0

paso el log de lo que me tira antes y despues
