Sync request ACKed.

The Ubuntu changes are to drop "-DG*_DISABLE_DEPRECATED" from Makefile
to fix a FTBFS. Fix also included in the Debian package.

   * Non-maintainer upload.
   * Remove “-DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED” from Makefile.in to avoid FTBFS due to
