Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
The only significant Ubuntu change was dropping the python-xml dependency. This change has been 
applied in Debian. The other Ubuntu change, modifying the Maintainer field, can be dropped.

Changelog since current intrepid version 0.710-1ubuntu1:

hotwire (0.721-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Drop python-xml dependency. Closes: #468595.
  * New upstream release. Closes: #486377.
  * Standards version is 3.8.0.
  * Set python (>= 2.5) as an alternative to pysqlite2.
