here is how to get kdvi back in Jaunty:

Go to:
-> Administration
-> Software Sources
-> Third-Party Software
-> Add...
write "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ intrepid universe multiverse"
-> Add Source
-> Close
-> Reload

Then,
-> Administration
-> Synaptic Package Manager
-> Quick search
"kdvi"
check it and then
 -> Apply

done.
