Did you use requestsync (from ubuntu-archive-tools)?

If so, it should automatically subscribe ~ubuntu-sponsors which is a
good way for these requests to be seen instead of ~ubuntu-archive (who
don't really do syncing but are roughly equivalent to Debian's
ftpmasters).
