[Bug 1983616] [NEW] Please remove empathy from Ubuntu

You have been subscribed to a public bug by Jeremy Bicha (jbicha):

An app can't link against both libsoup2.4 and libsoup3 simultaneously.
empathy depends on libsoup2.4 but it also depends on several libraries
that will be switching to libsoup3.

There is no longer an upstream for empathy. Empathy was archived more
than a year ago which means bug reports, translation updates, and even
bugfixes are no longer being accepted.

I filed https://bugs.debian.org/1016659 to remove empathy from Debian
Testing (eventually). It will  probably be removed from Debian Unstable
later too.

Please remove empathy from Ubuntu. We had an Ubuntu diff so it wouldn't
have been semi-automatically removed in Ubuntu and we will be doing the
libsoup related transitions before Debian.
