And docker.compose-v2 has
 Provides: docker-compose
Thereby yes, so late in 25.10 we should only have one.

Down the road we could think of uniting the two, we started with -v2 when Debian was stuck on 1.x.
But then as you outlined we regularly go ahead on this one.
I think it depends which way we could best have both Distributions benefit from each other without causing too much extra effort.
