The "run-mozilla.sh" file may not have its execute permissions set. You
can try 'chmod +x run-mozilla.sh' and then './run-mozilla.sh' again.
Or ... you can use the file browser (e.g. via Places menu -> Computer)
to open the Firefox 2 folder in a familiar point-and-click environment,
and run the 'run-mozilla.sh' script by double-clicking it.

If you downloaded it via a "Get Firefox now!" kind of link, it will be a
binary. A binary file means not human-readable, i.e. it is in some kind
of machine code that is understood as instructions or data by software
or the operating system.
If the archive name contains 'src' then it will usually be a collection
of source code; if it does not have 'src' then you can expect it to have
been already compiled (ready to execute), and the archive may have the
compiler type in its name, e.g. i386 or linuxppc, which would indicate
what kind of hardware is required to run it.
