Hi Chris
If you are really happy with 6.06, perhaps stay with it.
I moved to Eft, and there were a few issues, mostly due to my efforts... Killed by machine no data lost though.
Now it is up and running after a fresh install, there is not a lot of difference. I will probably stay on it for the newer version of QEMU which I do use.
Other things:
USPLASH is ugly, grayscale, no text and not due to be fixed until Fawn - known bug.
Boot and Halt are very quick.
Sound was a problem, wouldn't play music, but there was system sounds... but that was sorted.
There are a few scripting efforts being developed to aid the Flash/Java config, they are a little new. One installed Dapper debs which APT didn't like.
Has FF2.0, thats good.
Would do it again? not if this was my only system.
Cheers
Gerard

Subject: Edgy Eft 64bit
I currently use Ubuntu 6.06 64bit and am really happy with it. Should I
upgrade to the latest Edgy 64 bit or just stick with Dapper until the
next major Ubuntu release? Any users experiences will be appreciated.
Thanks guys.
