Australian Laptop Resellers with Ubuntu

I bought a couple of notebooks from Pioneer Computers Australia with
Ubuntu preinstalled. They're not bad. They're nice and solid but not
especially pretty. Low battery life is the biggest issue with them. I
get about 1.5 hours with the 6 cell battery. A 9 cell battery is
probably available. Hopefully that changes a little in the future with
some power saving features in the kernel I was reading about, thought
that might just have been my imagination.

You're much better off going with an intel notebook over amd just so
you can get the wireless drivers and such working.
