Failing hardware, what diagnostics tools are good?

UBCD also has CPU-burn in which is good for testing the motherboard and cpu,
generally this failing narrows it down a little.

But I guess they don't make em like they used to, my servers main IDE port
just died and I am trying to decide what to do next, it is very annoying.
