Some more commands that might prove useful (for us). The commands to run are
in double quotes("), and what the info it gives us means in square brackets
([]):
"cat /etc/iftab"
[Contains details of any interface mapping (MAC address -> Interface name)]
"cat /var/run/network/ifstate"
[Contains details of what interfaces Ubuntu thinks are currently active]
"/sbin/ifconfig -a"
[Gives details of all network interfaces the machine can see]
Note: That's ifconfig, not ipconfig (yes, f instead of p).
