I haven't, but I may soon be using it.
Based on my research they ship the Hauwei E169 (also used by 3), which
does work with a couple of udev hacks. Most of the new Optus network
outside major centres uses the 900Mhz band, so the E220 will be useless.
An added bonus with the E169 is that they can take an external
directional antenna if you need a better signal. HTH
