Printing in Gimp 2.4.5

Hi,

I am not sure if this happened after installing mtink and escputil,
indeed that may not relevant (uninstalled now).

But I can not get anything to print from Gimp 2.4.5. Nothing happens or
just a .25mm x .25mm image prints or the paper just feeds through.

It used to work a dream.

I have reinstalled (not uninstalled first as I don't know what makes up
all the Gimp packages) and I don't want to break anything else.

This is very important to me so I would appreciate any suggestions. A
complete reinstall as the last resort.
