Hello all.

I have a printer problem in that when I try to print from any package, I
get a message "job stopped"  and the printer prints "**** Unable to open
the initial device, quitting."  (Ubuntu 9.10)

The printer diagnostic facility seems to freeze.


Any ideas of where to look ?
