how big is the video file? and are you able to attach it?

If you can, are you able to throw it into Openshot video editor, and cut it
down to maybe a 10 second sample and attach that?

The other option is, head into terminal and type: vlc moviename.avi and see
if anything suspicious shows up in the terminal.
