You seem to be doing well with the wiki thing, both you've linked have
worked well. My main suggestions on both of yours would be to swap out
the old ubuntu font for the new one to tie it in a bit better.

I'm not sure what the rules on the grey spots/dots are either, as long
as it conforms with the brand guidelines outlined on the Artwork page
though that's all that really matters.
