Smack me if you think I'm losing it, but...

What do people think about a backporting [i]service[/i]? As in, a LAMP-based
web portal where people can request packages to be auto-backported from
Breezy, and then have a build engine sift through the requests, and notify
users via e-mail when packages are ready to "pick up".


I think it's a great way to satisfy those impulse-backport-demands, and
gives us valuable statistical insight as to what kind of stuff users want,
as well as automated reports of whether or not certain backports go through
properly.


I'm gonna get started writing such a system... the geek appeal is just too
appealing :)
