I figured out the whole prevu thing and I've installed the
mailman_2.1.9-2ubuntu1~6.10prevu1_i386.deb backport on my server.
Initial tests are positive, and it even cleaned up some shunted files
that hadn't made it to the archive because of 2.1.8's problems.

I will observe 2.1.9's behavior and report back of any success or
failure.  I guess I'm officially an Ubuntu backport tester.   Whee!

So...

Confirmed builds in prevu. Boots and runs fine in my tests so far.  Will
report back after some days of usage.
