[Bug 95097] please backport lirc (0.8.1+cvs20070310-0ubuntu1)

Public bug reported:

The current lirc that is in edgy fails to properly build modules for gpio or i2c.  Also, the mceusb2 driver is unresponsive.
Both issues have been resolved in the feisty version for the package (bugs 78140,68906,45703 which are now closed)
