[Bug 258049] [NEW] Please backport Bacula 2.4.2 from Intrepid to Hardy

Public bug reported:

There are numerous bug fixes and code rewritten in Bacula 2.4.x over
Bacula 2.2.8, which is included in Hardy. The fixes/improvements to tape
library and media management results in much greater reliability and
usability of Bacula, especially in larger installations (multi-drive
tape libraries). Since Hardy is an LTS release improvements to system
reliability is EXTREMELY beneficial to users.
