[Bug 249339] [NEW] please backport mozilla-mplayer 3.55

Public bug reported:

mozilla-mplayer 3.55 is available on intrepid. This plugin is one of the
few which gives to ubuntu users in browser quicktime support, some new
sites require quicktime 7.4+ and the old mozilla-mplayer 3.50 dont
support it.

you can use the following url as a test case:

and you can get a copy of my attempt to backport mozilla-mplayer to
hardy from my ppa:
