Generally library backports are not allowed because of the potential
impact on their reverse dependencies if perfect binary compatibility is
not maintained. In order to approve a library backport (like this), all
the rdepends need to be built against the updated library and tested.

$ apt-cache rdepends libmtp8
libmtp8
Reverse Depends:
  amarok
  qlix
  python-pymtp
  mtpfs
  gnomad2
  banshee
  audacious-plugins-extra
  rhythmbox
