[Bug 589249] [NEW] Please backport Alsa 1.0.23

Public bug reported:

Current Ubuntu Alsa version is almost 6 months old. The new one adds
various bug fixes and includes support for diverse piece of hardware
(including mine :-)).

I think this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1046137)
popularity should be taken into account to justify my request.
