  Reason for the backport:

  Upstream has released a mostly bugfix release a long time ago, but because of bad timing and other stuff it didn't make it into Debian for a long time, and by extension not into trusty.

  Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.
  
  You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
