Please backport pyclamd 0.3.9-1 (universe) from utopic to trusty.

Reason for the backport:

New API in 0.3 series should be available in the LTS

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s utopic -d trusty pyclamd
